Spyglass - A series of Unfortunate Events
The model is based off the VFD spyglass in 'A Series of Unfortunate Events'. I really enjoyed working on this model since it's a fairly small asset but had a lot of intricate elements and some interesting materials to work with.
Though some references and angles were hard to get hold of when researching the asset, I had to take a little bit of artistic freedom when it came to designing the dials and gauges on the body of the spyglass, but I am still incredibly happy with the final outcome; especially on the details of the different decoder dials along the body towards the lens.
For the final product, there are 2 versions of both the extended and retracted assets. Each has an open and a closed cap to show the details of the lens or of the design on the cap of the spyglass.
