Papillon

Papillon was born from a small artisanal production of bow ties by aiming to revitalise vintage and second hand fabrics, all the items are one-off piece and entirely hand-sewn. Even when the production has significantly increased, the quality has remained high and tangible.
Papillon is where both uniqueness and reproducibility, traditional characters and actual needs in fashion indutry meet one each other.
The branding is meant to express these strong attitudes.

In the first sketches, it has been decided to keep the shape of the bow tie, combined with
the collar of the shirt , which stands as a symbol of traditions and customs.
The logo has finally semplified by using minimal shapes and lines, to make it easily understandable and scalable.
Its places particular emphasis on symmetry as symbol of perfection and quality assurance.
For any bow tie it is associated a label passport wich contain all the details of the textiles used and it provenience.
