In early 2010, I started an entrepreneurship project. Creative Canvas (CCPS) is a company that produces and commercializes high quality canvas prints, represents and distributes the work of both national and international artists, innovates by allowing users to co-create their own works of art, and collaborates with artists to let them access new market segments with intervened printed canvas at an affordable price.
To this date, CCPS has dealt with more than 200 individual and institutional clients from Colombia, the USA and Italy, and it continues to grow. CCPS has participated in numerous art fairs and events, and is now a recognized brand among the Colombian artistic scene. The company has created six new jobs, thus making its first step towards generating much needed employment within my community.
In November 2011, I was recognized in Palante (www.palante.co), a TV show hosted by Bogota's Chamber of Commerce that features outstanding Colombian entrepreneurs. CCPS has also been showcased in Caracol News, an international news program from Colombia. The experience of creating and leading this company made me a more organized, proactive and goal oriented entrepreneur.
