Criatura
A CONTEMPORARY MYTH
In the ground floor of the wonderful hotel Verride - Palácio Santa Catarina, there’s a new restaurant, which is already one of “best new things” in Lisbon. We gave it the name Criatura (Creature), inspired by the mythological figure that gives name to the place where it is located, the viewpoint of Adamastor in Lisbon. The character is intimately linked to the Portuguese discoveries, which are also the motto of the menu, dedicated to the national flavours and the recipes we brought from distant lands.
Inspiration for the logo came from an architecture detail, a rosette embedded in one of the ceilings of the restaurant. It represents a mythological character that goes back to that era and the result is a symbol full of magic and fantasy, which evokes the mysterious creature, while maintains the delicacy of the lines that build the palace.
