DiiM is an architecture studio offering comprehensive design services, that believes in the boundlessness of thoughts. They approach problems in a complex way, by merging the areas of architecture, interior design, and product design. When designing their visual identity, my goal was to reflect on the minimalist approach that the studio represents. In this simplicity, the emphasis is on the quality of the remaining elements – or their absence. Accordingly, I used purely typography when making the visual identity.

Besides clean elements, I also wanted to incorporate some playfulness into their brand. In the animated logo designed for their online presence, the letters of DiiM move away from each other and navigate through the virtual space of an imaginary building independently, then return to their starting positions. While designing their visual identity, my goal was to let users experience the Design in Mind philosophy empirically. The letters - printed on the black base with transparent foil - are only visible when held up to a light, thus the physical position of the person is meaningful during the usage of the prints. In addition to functionality, the user experience also becomes exceptional - by the reflection, the limits of visual perception change.
