Urban Atmosphere, the color of the XXI Century

Urban atmosphere is a photobook composed of 31 photographs that aims to portray the dominant colors of a polluted and dirty city as a result of the frenzied and voracious lifestyle of the consumer society.

The idea was conceptualized in response to the color that Pantone cataloged "color of the year 2017": the Greenery. According to Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, the Greenery would pretend to claim the "trust we long for in the tumultuous social and political context in which we live" through a color that guarantees "reconnection with nature and with ourselves". This photobook shows the true trend color of today's society translated into dirty and muddy colors as a consequence of a consumer society and its accelerated pace: the Urban Atmosphere color range. Thus, each photograph is accompanied by a color belonging to this range that introduces this concept, such as "Dirty Sunset", "Pollution", "Trash" or "Dispair".

The purpose of the project is to make the user aware of the environment in which he/she lives as a critic of the landscape resulting of the values that implore today's society.
