This is my entry for the Cutty Sark Design Contest.

The briefing was to make a Limited Edition packaging that would celebrate the time Cutty Sark belonged to Portugal.

So, I choose the theme of the Republic, wich was implanted in 1910, the same time Cutty Sark was still portugese. Therefore I used the image of the Republic raising from the seas along with the armillary sphere. Both sea and sphere are also a reference to the Portuguese Descoveries.

The name 'Lágrimas de Portugal' (Tears of Portugal) is refference to Fernado Pessoa's 'Quinto Império' poem with the intention of merging all the elements and symbols.
