#AdobeHiddenTreasures #Contest : AXE Barberdashery

#AdobeHiddenTreasures #Contest
The challenge of  #AdobeHiddenTreasure is to create a logo using the Bauhaus Dessau font families: Xants and Joschmi.

Font:Style
I made a logo that has brevity, clarity, and essence, and must  well incorporate the alphabets of the Bauhaus Dessau font family. I experimented and played on each letter to have a good incorporation of both fonts together.

I removed the serifs yet maintaining the circle of Xants and using the 'split-character' and cornered rectangle of Joschmi; combining both fonts I was able to create an ambigram of A and E.

I stylised the X as a scissor since it is both used  in sewing suits and ties a and styling hair.

Barber:Dashery
Barberdashery is a portmanteau of the words barbershop and haberdashery. As someone who has a fascination for men's style, these two were my inspiration in creating the logo. Hence, the goal is to fuse men's grooming and style while incorporating the two fonts.

Mood:Motto
Look Sharp. This is the mantra: Each gentleman to look sleek, savvy, and sharp. Likewise an axe, hence the word was chosen.

The colours are a mix of classical and contemporary approach with blue and dark as the main primary colours representing . While light and gold are accent are accent secondary colours for contrast and highlight. The colours are also flexible for the logo even in monotone shade.
