Problem
The Refugee Crisis aims to spread awareness about the 7.6 million people who are forced to leave their homes due to Civil War & Armed Conflicts mainly in the Middle Eastern parts of the world.

Design Solution

Refugees are not as technologically illiterate as before. In fact, most refugees carry smartphones with them to help them with their journey across boarders and connecting t their loved ones. For them, it's the most practical and precious possession they own.

Seeing how widely important and used a smartphone is in a refugee's life, our proposed solution is to create and Application that refugees can use. To begin with, the app will be energy-saving, which allows the smartphone to last longer periods of time for long journeys and where electricity is not easily accessible.

Important Features

The first feature will be a function which allows refugees to get live updates on the weather conditions, obstacles or dangerous routes along the way. Secondly, basic first aid solutions during the emergency as well as reliable emergency contacts and being able to locate the nearest emergency center. Third, a translator which makes it easier for refugees who have reached neighbouring countries to communicate with the local population.
