Bata launched its Bata Heritage collection to showcase heritage products from its vast archives

restless entrepreneur and innovator,
Mr Tomáš Baťa.
The man who wanted "to shoe mankind".
The history and heritage of Bata is fascinating and amazing, yet it felt lost while I was browsing through the 2017 lookbook.
The essence and qualities of the Bata spirit were not evident, hence the decision to propose a totally new direction.
Juxtaposition and Playfulness.
To showcase the time period, forward-thinking mindset
and innovator spirit of Tomas Baťa.
we played with a 3-column layout and kept it clean.
The juxtaposition of images of the old and new; art and photo were made possible by
Bata's collection of beautiful old advertisements that we used to cut up and play with throughout the book.

To bring out the playful side of Bata, the layout above was inspired by the tennis court, used to showcase Bata Tennis.
