Urban Form
I've long been drawn to the charm of empty streets and vacant urban spaces. I suppose it resonates with my rural upbringing on a small Island. In the eight years I spent living, working and exploring London I always longed for quiet, seeking hidden corners and disused spaces to reconnect with something.
Through this photo series I used running to make a human connection to such spaces. Working only in the 2 hours after sunrise, when shadows pass through and across corners of this vast city for fleeting moments, I wanted contrast to define and mark out the visual canvas.
Thanks to James Poole for being involved.
