This is the second release 'The Best Of Invention' by Technosaurus, Techno Brewster & DJ Iceman' on my own record-label Parallax Recordings. The whole project was a one-man-mission that took three years(!) in the making: From finding the two original artists in UK who made the music back in 1992/93, to licensing the tunes, finding the original masters to the tunes (and sourcing good masters from ripping vinyl where they couldnt be found anymore, thanks to Dave Elusive for the good rips and Will Irvine for cleaning them up and being a good mentor all the way through) and getting them remastered by Beau@ 1087 Mastering. Then I had to get the lacquers cut by him, find a good record plant to press 300 copies, get the testpresses pressed, sent to the artists and agreed on and finally build a webshop to distribute the vinyl to the customers and open pre-orders. And then of course, getting the design done (shown below). Even if it might look simple I spent about 3-4 weeks re-doing and tweaking around till I was happy with it. Once it was done I was still surfing the high, so I made stickers, slipmats, even hoodies and a releaseparty to accompany the release. Not to forget that finally I had to order mailers and pack 300 copies of the release to bring them to the post office and send them out individually. Oh, what a joy haha, in the end it was all worth it as it was big fun!
