Above: Dr. Marten Ad #1 // My direction with this project was to create a dark design that presented the spike boot appropriately. I created the boot in both illustrator and photoshop. The other elements such as the spike bomb and dynamite are respresentative of the boots tough appearence and meant to evoke a sence of indestructibility.

Above: Dr. Martens Ad #2 // I created this advertisement with art in mind. Since the boot is colorful, I made sure to consider the audience- who would wear this boot? Most likely somebody with a lively personality, isn't afraid of color and personal expression. The hand is meant to evoke a painters hand, there is a direct connection with the colors used here. I wanted the words "wear your art" and the color of the paint drips to match the boot, creating a visioin that the boot is created by it's wearer.
