In the novella "The Story of Mr. Summer" by Patrick Süskind from 1991, a first-person narrator recounts his childhood. Mr. Sommer, an intangible figure who speechlessly and hurried rushes through the woods, is very present in these stories. His restlessness and hecticness are reflected in the appearance of the ragged margin. This wanders through constantly changing positions and an alternating division into columns on the double page. In the large-format booklet, empty spaces are created that give the characters space for individual development free of social conventions.
