The Municipal Water Treatment Process

3D Modeling and Animation
Professor: Anson Call
For this project, we were asked to create a two to five minute video describing a technical process, so I decided to make mine about the process of treating water for municipal purposes. The video takes the viewer through a basic water treatment process that describes the steps used in a typical water treatment facility.

All modeling, texturing, lighting and animation was done using Cinema 4D R13. Film compositing was done using After Effects CS5. I made the background music using Apple's Garageband Software and their provided loops, and I voiced the narration as well.
This video had the honor of being displayed at the 2012 Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C.
