Plastic Fanatic

    A personal project made by

Plastics are slowly killing our mother earth and we need to do something about it before it puts it on mute for good.

As for the technical and aesthetic aspects this project has been a big experiment to work with a bright color palette combined with more complex and realistic shapes.

Made in Marvelous Designer, Cinema 4D, Redshift, After Effects & Photoshop.

In terms of a more specific process the instruments were first set up in Cinema 4D then exported into Marvelous Designer were the plastic mesh were build, sewed and simulated.

When the sim finally looked good it was brought back into Cinema 4D to be shaded and lit through Redshift renderer. The plastic "effect" or transparency were mainly steered through a composed concave and convex curvature node.

Then to the best part when adding life to the beauty render bringing it into After Effects for better glow and curves adjustments. Lastly it gets imported into Photoshop for some retouch dodge and burn and minor but important adding of noise and chromatic abortion.
