Ringling Celebrates Architecture Branding

These branding sample materials for "Ringling Celebrates Architecture" were developed to create consistency while also giving a voice to each individual style of architecture represented. This new brand had to include the voice of Ringling College of Art and Design while also retaining it's own identity. By utilizing the Ringling College logo (a golden rectangle frame) I was able to develop a structural system, similar to those in architecture, while contrasting it with organic brush strokes that speak to the nature of art school.
Each element of this design is based on the golden ratio, meaning that the font sizes and hierarchal grid systems increase and decrease in multiples of 1.618. The underlying grid is in the form of the golden spiral with its center being the area with the highest concentration/most important information. This system was developed over three weeks of intensive obsession and mathematical correctness.
