This is a logo that I made for a Symbols project. I chose a noun and a service to design a simple symbol for. I chose "Jailhouse Printing". The handcuffs are an obvious representation of "jailhouse", and the ink drop from the cuffs is a simple way to represent "printing". Ink is universal in the print making world; no matter what you're printing, you're most likely using ink to print it.
This shows that the symbol is still readable as a scaled-down version of the normal symbol.
This shows that the symbol would be effective if it was printed black or white.
These are some simple mock-ups of the logo. The first is an example of how the symbol would look letterpressed, and the second is how it would look printed flat on paper.
