Matches Pop
This is a handmade project. It is a poster that takes a conceptual approach, using the name: ‘Matches Pop’. The font used is San Serif. The alphabets are made of safety matches.
The design of the font is inspired by pop art, presenting matchstick letters. Matches are used because they can burn, and burning matches can arouse people’s passion. This is inherently the same as the essence of pop art which also stimulates senses and emotions. Therefore, the use of burning matches is a way to combine font design with pop art elements.
