TOPIC :RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH.

BOOK:THOUGHTS OF TREASURE DAILY DEVOTIONAL.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.(2 Timothy 2:15).

The Bible is an embodiment of truths. There are deep truths of the word and there are also milk and strong meat of God's word. Our opening scripture says for us to study to show ourselves approved unto God. It's a requirement. If you are going to know God in a level beyond the Surface you will have to study His word. You will never have a deep revelation of God without His word. The more you study His word, the more you understand the ways and the acts of God and the more He will reveal Himself to you. The Bible says in Hebrew 5:14 that "strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." Hallelujah. Strong meat belong to those that are mature, you don't give that to children, it will take away their teeth. And not every adult can take strong meat, but those that have strong teath can chew strong meat. Hallelujah. In the realm of the Spirit strong meat of God's word belongs to the mature. By reason of use, the mature has their spiritual senses excersied. As you put to work what God gives to you, you are excersing your spiritual senses. Strong meat belongs to those who are of full age. By reason of practice, you have your senses trained.

As you mature in the things of God, you can discern between Good and evil. You discern when someone is speaking by the Spirit of God, you can discern when someone is manifesting the gifts and the fruits of the Spirit because you have been there. Hallelujah. You can also discern when Satan speaks through a Child of God. For example in Matthew 16:21-23 Jesus said to His disciples that in a few days He was going to be handed over to the religious elders and be killed and Peter said NO Lord, you will not die, that was a nice talk and sounded perfect, he was filled with human sympathy, but Jesus by reason of use knew that was from the devil. Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns". Jesus knew the difference and who was behind that nice talk. Hallelujah. And Peter was startled because Jesus spoke to him directly and cast that devil out of him. Here is another thought emanating from this account, Presumably you were Peter, what would be your response afterwards Jesus looked at your face and said Satan get thee behind me?. Sometimes, I wonder how many people will accept correction irrespective of how the correction came, I wonder if someone that you have a nice carnal wish looked at you, discerned Satan speaking through you and said Satan get thee behind me, if you would take it personal or see it as an insult. A lot of people are in fellowship with demons and these demons will never leave them because of the bitterness in their hearts, because of the unteachable spirit in them, they will take up another demon into them as a result of bitterness if someone try to correct them or to rebuke something out of them. The moment you submit to God's word, demons will check out of you immediately because light has come.

The more you grow in Christ, the more submisive you become to Him and to His word and then it is easier for you to recognise His voice and see Him in people. But when you are a Child you don't know, your language and responses are different. As you mature you can be easily corrected in wisdom and in love without any route of offence or anger springing up. God can minister to you with everything around you and the more you are sensitive to the voice of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit, the more He leads you into higher and greater success. Walking in love and in joy is one of the Hallmark of Christian maturity. There's a higher level in God and the Spirit of God wants us to grow. The next verse says "Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,"(Hebrew 6:1). Remember the Bible was not originally written in verse so this is a continuation of the same subject from Hebrews 5. Hallelujah. It says, Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. It's time to grow up spiritually and exercise your spiritual senses more. To be spiritually minded is life and peace.(Romans 8:6)

7 THOUGHTS TO PONDER ON.

1. IF YOU ARE GOING TO KNOW GOD TO THE LEVEL BEYOND THE SURFACE, YOU MUST STUDY HIS WORD. (2 Timothy 2:15).

2. THERE ARE STRONG MEAT OF GOD'S WORD AND IT BELONGS TO THOSE WHO BY REASON OF USE EXERCISED THEIR SPIRITUAL SENSES.(Hebrew 5:14).

3. AS YOU PUT TO WORK WHAT GOD GIVES YOU, YOU ARE EXERCISING YOUR SPIRITUAL SENSES. BY REASON OF PRACTICE, YOU HAVE YOUR SENSES TRAINED.(Hebrew 5:12-14, Hebrew 6:1).

4. AS YOU MATURE IN THE THINGS OF GOD, YOU CAN DISCERN BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL, BETWEEN SPIRITS AND WHEN SOMEONE IS MANIFESTING THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT.(Matthew 16:21-23).

5. JESUS KNEW THE DIFFERENCE AND WHO WAS BEHIND THAT NICE TALK WHEN PETER SAID NO, THAT JESUS WAS NOT GOING TO DIE.(Matthew 16:21-23).

6. THE MORE YOU GROW IN CHRIST, THE MORE YOU ARE SUBMISIVE TO HIS WORD AND THEN IT'S EASIER FOR YOU TO RECOGNISE HIS VOICE IN PEOPLE AND SEE HIM IN PEOPLE.(John 21:18,John 10:27).

7. WALKING IN LOVE AND IN JOY IS THE HALLMARK OF CHRISTIAN MATURITY. AND TO BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED IS LIFE AND PEACE. (Romans 8:6, 1 John 4:8).

AFFIRMATION.

I am open to the voice and the leading of the Spirit. The word of God is the final authority over my life and I do what the word says. I hear to do and I am sensitive to the voice and the leading of the Holy Spirit. I have a teachable spirit and I am exercising my spiritual senses daily in Jesus Name. Amen.

FURTHER QUOTES.

You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God's word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food.

For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn't know how to do what is right.(Hebrew 5:12-13).
