The Helvetica Nation Project was created in partial
fulfillment of my Sophomore : Type I course. The ass-
ignment was to pick a topic and make a series of at
least 12 icons built from pieces of Helvetica letterfo-
rms. I chose to pick a topic that has always intrigued
me, insects - 20 icons total. This project was helpful
in that I learned how to keep a consistent lineweight
throughout an icon accompanied by meaningful vari-
ations in lineweight. After constucting the icon set
we were to create a couple different posters in order
to help promote our icon set.
