In this project I have been exploring material identity through processes and techniques, and also my own relationship to materials and forms. I wanted to use this project to learn the limitations and possibilities of a range of materials, with a “use and abuse” approach, using the material first correctly and then “abusing” the material by changing the composite or by purposefully creating a bad cast, then capturing the textures created in pencil drawings.
