The graphic above and the six below were designed to communicate the new and ever expanding areas of AI research at NIST. Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to computer systems that think and act like humans, and think and act rationally. It is rapidly transforming our world with innovations like autonomous vehicles driving our city streets, personal digital assistants in our homes and pockets, and direct human brain interfaces, etc. The white opaque icons in the graphic represent these specific areas of research of AI NIST is studying. 

Through manipulating vectors, photographs, shapes and patterns, I was able to create a graphic that shows the merging of human like intelligence to AI. It is used on the web, in print materials, and for presentations.
