The Brief
Design an A3 poster to promote a graphics arts fair. Your poster must include either/or both craft based and digitally created images. These must have been created by you.
The Result
After finishing many hours of research for this Design I had firm ideas on the colors to use and how I wanted to go about the design. Green was a way to incorporate the feel of summer grass and still appear contemporary, it also breathed "freshness".
As the poster is for a contemporary graphic arts fair I felt a digital poster would be best. The title of the event is "Picture This", from this I first drew many ideas, incorporating cameras and hands and the like, though this proved to be popular amongst other students.
From here, I looked at the processes of being able to "picture" an idea or real life situations. Photons are a massive part of sight and they are also used for capturing images within photography. I took this idea and created small 'dots' representing the photons.
I also had the idea of creating a little contemporary art within the poster to entice people to go to the event and to show what was to offer.
