Idea
“The History of Connection” is a website showcasing the technological achievements in the history of telecommunications in a never-before-seen interactive experience.
The idea is to explore this unique timeline from a breathtaking point of view, by navigating inside the only element that all these technologies have in common: the cable.
While seeing the design of the cable evolve age after age, with the support of the most innovative WebGL technologies, people can discover the technologies behind the evolution of telecommunications.
Chapters and historic devices
“The History of Connection” is split in different chapters.
At the beginning of each, users can interact with a specific device representing that age.
Thanks to this experience, even the younger generations can try out those iconic devices that belong to the past and made the history of telecommunications.
