In a quiet area from Braga suburbs, a piece in exposed concrete based on a modest elevation arises. The Mortuary Chapel of Navarra seeks to convey sobriety, regularity and simplicity concepts and pretends to create a powerful spiritual place, rich in direct and indirect natural lighting. The chapel constituent materials are concrete, glass, wood and aluminium, which are applied to increase the plastic expressivity of this restrained volume. The building is a parallelepiped divided into two spaces, one is a rectangular space designed for the mortuary chapel activities and the other, more linear, plays the access corridor role.
