PASSENGER SPACE  - CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

A number of invaluable insights were highlighted with the aid of a low fidelity cabin mockup. One key insight was that traditional overhead cabin baggage storage would not be possible within the limitations of the current fuselage envelope.

BOOM and Katapult looked at a number of alternative cabin storage solutions, landing on an 'under-seat cabin storage solution' that gave the passenger the flexibility and security that they were after, but also met the condensed seat pitch requirements while still giving the passenger generous in flight legroom.

BRINGING THE DESIGN TO LIFE

Once we had the interior developed to a refined conceptual level, we worked to create a round of updated marketing 3D visuals. The BOOM team was able to use these visuals to sell the vision of their aircraft passenger experience to prospective investors.

LAY FLAT DESIGN

BOOM and a small number of potential investors were looking for an alternate interior configuration allowed for a complete lay flat seating experience. This seating configuration would require the footprint of 2 standard seat assemblies, but would give a passenger the ability to recline into a horizontal position when in sleep mode, or invite another passenger to sit across from you, transforming the space into a relaxed business environment.
