The building is in a rectangular landscape, with houses to the north and south boundaries, located in a block that has doble entrance and zonificaction, comercial and residential. The entrance through the comercial zone is to the west of the landscape. There is a 16 meters wide, two way street on this side. To the east,the residential zone, there’s a narrower street, 7 meters wide, with a residential scale.
The remodelation proyect changed the use of the existing building, from residential to comercial, with offices, workshops and depositos for the company MSM Consultores. This company works with comercialization, distribution and instalation of industrial equipment.
With this intervention, the area of the building grew from 220 m2 to 460 m2.
The idea behind the concept of the proyect was, throught the integration of the premises of the program, to creat and optimize the working areas. In regards to the climate aspects, the proyect has controled openings in the hotter facades, east and west. We used vegetation and special design screens to block the sun and lower the temperature of spaces.
