The clashing of two worlds through typeface.

FRANCO IS DESIGNED TO HELP INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE STARTING TO LEARN ARABIC, THE EQUIVALENT OF THE LETTERS IN ENGLISH.

The concept behind this typeface is getting English language speakers familiar with the basic Arabic letters, & the several rules of the language. Using blocks to recreate the letters and find the similarity in the letters that sound alike. The typeface can be used in both English and Arabic.

TASHKIL- BASIC RULE
Tashkil in Arabic represent missing vowels in the word. It mimics the vowel without highlighting it so much. It goes on top or below the letter.

FONT BASIC RULES
Each letter is composed of either just white blocks, or white and a lighter shade of the background. The white highlights what should be easily read, while the lighter shade of the background is basically not being used depending on the language you are typing in.

The arabic alphabet also contains letters that have the same pronunciation, however, one letter is heavier in sound than the other. This is highlight with an underline under the English letter.
