ethopian luxury water
watergrabbing. what a term. and a big euphemism to what big companies like nestlé and unilever are doing in regions of africa. buying cheap grounds from desperate landowners to fence them in and using all springs to produce and sell expensive bottled water. not only they lower the groundwater level with excessive use of the water resources. they refuse sparse villages nearby to pump their own water.
water as a luxury good for the rich.
this project tries to increase the irony by placing a fictional ethiopian luxury water brand. being proud of the culture it comes from but hiding the drastic truth of stealing water from people in need behind the high price and marketing.
