'THE RECYCLED MAGIC FLUTE' is a small production of Mozart's classic opera 'The Magic Flute", directed by Magdalene Minnaar.
This production was created to introduce opera to young concert-goers. Shortened to one hour, this fantasy story of elightenment, birds, flutes and queens captivates your imagination and uncovers the world of opera in an accessible and easily-digestible way.
We designed and created all visual aspects of the show - including creating the costumes, props and sets all from recycled materials (such as cardboard, plastic bottles, egg cartons, bubblewrap, plastic bags, CDs, and old clothes), as well as designing all the promotional elements for the show.
