Proximuse is an interactive installation that lets users experience and create music beyond wires and screens, free from any form of physical connection.

A theremin for band. Minus eerie sounds and more fun.

The set-up consists of 4 proximity sensors controlled by the system via an Arduino kit that activate drums, bass, rhythm and lead tracks based on where the users stand.

Further explorations of Proximuse could be used by a lone busker or a solo stage artist to make their performances fuller and backed, based on how they position themselves.
