Designing with typography ART230 BYUI

This is the first project for ART130 from BYUI.  The assignment was to develop 2 design compositions.  One is made completely with characters from a san serif font.  The other is made completely with characters from a serif font.

This is a design composition made up of characters from the serif font Stempel Garamond.  I typed my name and my age, ungrouped the characters and moved them around, changed the sizes and layered them to create this design.  Design principles used are alignment, visual hierarchy, grouping and layering.

This composition was made using the san serif font, Neue Haas Grotesk.  I typed "Hahnstein", ungrouped the letters and manipulated them to create the design. Some of the design principles used are alignment, grouping, and layering.
