Carla Serra's profile

Red Apple Creative, Website

Working at Red Apple Creative was one of the biggest challenges of my career and it had a hug impact in the professional I am today.

Such an amazing experience to work with these amazing people and in such exciting campaigns.

The RAC website was my last project there. It was a very special one, not because it was the last one, but because it was the project that would give a new face to this talented team.
All the team was involved in this project. Every Developer, Designer, Director, Project manager… and the list keeps growing - after all, it was the company's website. Team work was key to this project.
My role in this project was very hands on. I was involved since day one, leading the UX side of the project.

Site Map

The Site map for this project was a very important step. It was a big website, with a lot of essential content for the companies business where SEO played a serious role driving new business.

With the Site Map we were able to organise all these pages, think about the information architecture, define group of pages and make sure the content is in a place users would expect to find it.

User experience design & Wireframes

The Wireframes were the longest part of the process in the all project (Starting from low to high fidelity wireframes). Followed by the site map I could start designing a visual representation of the a user interface while, at the same time, other members of the team could be working of the brand vision of the company. It was essential for us to make sure everyone was on the same page and keep every member of the team on the loop.
This was a massive project and the team invested a lot of their time producing it. Having every phase of the project solid and coherent we avoided a lot of problems in the future.

Designing the RAC website was a big challenge.
There were so many questions along the way… How to give a website that is so wide an enjoyable User Experience? How can we make RAC brand identity work alongside with the new website? How can we fulfil the business goals? There were a lot of questions that needed an answer.

The design team spent a long time working on RAC brand vision. Creating illustrations, animations, stories… giving meaning to this brand.
