Abstract
According to research, Singapore millennials understand that an experience-focused lifestyle is more fulfilling than one that is driven by material goods. However, being too accustomed to their current material- driven lifestyle, they find difficulties in making this shift that could potentially enrich their lives.
EditedMe, a lifestyle editing mobile application, is designed to help Singapore millennials ‘edit’ their materialistic habits through a series of fun challenges.
Each challenge encourages users to participate in activities that will help them reshape their lifestyles so that it is geared towards meaningful experiences.
The app also aims to gather like-minded individuals by creating networks of communities for common interests. It keeps users updated on the events that are happening in Singapore to drive an experience-focused lifestyle.

The purpose of the motion graphic is to relate to the problems experienced by Singapore millennials. It is not about explaining the functions of the application, but about drawing the contrasts and introducing the shift from materialistic-driven lifestyle towards an experience-driven one. It also aims to increase awareness on the problems caused by materialism.

Chapter of Challenges
The first chapter of challenge (this project) focuses on decluttering as it helps user to find out how much material accumulation they have. The chapter unlocked after decluttering is about exercising conscious spending, followed by skills learning. Every chapter will provide users with different insights and help them shift their lifestyles one step by a time.
1st Chapter–Decluttering
The first chapter’s challenges for the mobile application is decluttering. Not only does it helps Singapore millennials in decluttering their material accumulation. It also make them discover the amount of material goods they have been accumulating without their realisation, which the majority of which have only been used a few times and ended up being thrown away. Going through the process of deciding what to keep and what to throw, will also help them discover the things which hold value for them and brings them happiness.
Hence this decluttering activities plays an important role in shaping their future decisions when making purchases.

Sharing Community
One of the problems that the majority of Singapore millennials encountered after they finished decluttering their room, is not knowing how to deal with the clutter, they do not know where or to whom they can give their items to. As a result, the decluttered items either ended up back into their rooms, or being thrown away. Therefore, upon completion of the first two challenges, where users would be challenged to declutter their room, the sharing community would be unlocked.

Sharing community is a platform for users to share, donate or give their items away. Not only does this prevents users from keeping or throwing away the items they decluttered, by sharing and donating their items, these items are put into good use by people who need them.
Happenings/Events
As one of the main aims of the mobile application is to encourage Singapore millennials to head out for activities and have experiences instead of focusing on material accumulation, a list of events happening in Singapore is shown on the 4th menu page. Upon accessing the 4th menu page, users would be able to stay updated with the latest events happening in Singapore.
Groups
There are many existing projects and groups in Singapore which can help to further enhance users’ decluttering experience. Such as Style Theory SG and Swapholic which encourages people to swap or rent wardrobe instead of buying. Several groups on Facebook serves as a platform for people to give their unwanted items away and/or obtain what they need. However, not many people however, are aware of these existing groups and projects.

Hence ‘Groups’ consolidate all of these existing projects in Singapore, forming a big library of information and resources which help to connect people who are interested in joining these projects.
