The brief
Create a DVD package for a movie of your choosing. Make sure the chosen style fits with the theme of the movie. You can break away from the original packaging as long as the look and feel are well executed.

Cover
I wanted the basis of my project to be minimalist and then start adding on to it. The cover is slightly ambiguous. For those who have not seen the movie it resembles a card that lists the most important actors in the movie. For those who have seen the movie and like easter eggs, there is more to it. The reason I chose the spade is because it resembles the main plot of the movie: three casinos that are connected to each other are being robber. The three sides of the spade represent the casinos and the stem represents the connecting 'tunnel'. I chose to represent the actors with sunglasses because this fits with the Vegas theme; you have to have a good poker face. The lines in the spade are a simplification of the casino's map.
Back
The back is a close up of a poker table. The synopsis is different than what you would expect. The original text was equally short so I decided to design it as well. I put George Clooney's portrait on the card as he is the leader of the gang. Finally, the bar code is put in the poker chip so that it would not take away or distract from the design.
Disc
The disc is made to resemble the movie's poker chip while still having the necessary logos and text.
