"This project will use your previous projects as content to create a personal drop cap or initial logo of your first, middle, or last initial. Your initial logo will be made using no more than 2 colors including your personal hue, references from your Creative Roots / Now + Later projects, and last but not least one of your initials. You project will be displayed in 3 formats at the end: a 12 inch print, a looping animated gif, and sold in a button vending machine in the halls of MassArt."

Gardening is important to me because sometimes I really need to feel like I'm taking care of something. Plants are special, hearty, robust creatures that often give back to its caretaker, and they make for great company. I used leaves to build my letter in order to represent this. Tea berries hold a special little place in my heart, so I incorporated them into my drop cap. My personal hue was Citron and I used the red of the tea berries as a little splash of contrast.

Creating this project was pretty difficult. It was my first encounter with Adobe Illustrator, and there was a but of a learning curve. I ended up really liking the program and I'm excited to use it in the future.
