In the 1980's, David Hockney began creating grid-like compositional photographs that created an entire image that took on its new own shape. The goal of this assignment was to create an image inspired by David Hockney's technique of photo collaging. For this project, I used an SLR camera to photograph a portrait image. After photographing the subject, the film was developed and an enlarger was used to create the final product.
