Remaking of LCSD web pages - interactivity 1

REFLECTIONS
During the making of the two web pages, I found out that there is a great different when designing the visual and making the visual into a real website. Especially the size of the texts and the icons, it is difficult to control the hierarchy and make it look visually appealing. I also encounter this problem when making the web pages. I should be more aware of the size of different elements by checking the look with the actual size shown on screen but not just the whole long scroll of page.

Secondly, when I was thinking of the interactive part of the website, I was thinking of animation with complex movements. However, I wasn’t aware of the feasibility and many of my “imagination” couldn’t come true. So at last I replaced some of the animation I originally planned to simple interactions which can be done in webflow. I should know what I can do and think of interesting user experience within my ability.

Thirdly, I realize that keeping a mood board is quite important. For example when making the website, at first my style is very international, which the web page looks like it could be for any foreign website about skateboard. Then, I realize this website is targeted for Hong Kongers, so I try to change the style which will favour Hong Konger more. By searching for pictures of Hong Kong sports grounds and keeping them in a mood board, I came up with ideas which relates more to Hong Kong. In the future, I would also try to keep a mood board for inspiration if I need to do any other projects.
