The following works are prints created for an exhibition at No End Contemporary Art Space in Johannesburg, entitled Limbo. The works were accompanied by gouache paintings by Imile Wepener. The aim of the exhibition was to explore the idea of Limbo, which is often associated with the liminal space between life and death, or heaven and hell. The theme of limbo is explored in my works as the space between paradise and desolation. It explores the fickle nature of fate, by presenting animals who are awaiting their promise of paradise, but who have unknowingly been forgotten or abandoned, destined to endlessly roam on the verge of their place of peace and rest.
