La vuelta al mundo de Cortázar en unos cuantos Julios: de eso se trata “Viaje alrededor de un tal Cronopio”, la muestra del ilustrador y diseñador JUANE LEMOS.
“La muestra está armada sobre algunos de los hechos más relevantes de Julio Cortázar. Sus rasgos, miradas, cuentos, amores y las ideas que marcaron su vida”. Integrada por 33 piezas originales, algunas de ellas realizadas con la técnica del vector digital y otras ilustradas a mano alzada, la muestra propone un recorrido que combina trazos, texturas, colores y tipografías.
La organización de las imágenes invita a hacer tres lecturas posibles. Una de ellas parte de la imagen central, un retrato del Cortázar maduro, rodeado de su obra literaria en formato tipográfico. La segunda propone un recorrido vertical: comenzando de abajo hacia arriba y en sentido inverso. La última lectura, horizontal, acompaña el formato oblongo del montaje, saltando de una imagen a la otra, hacia adelante o hacia atrás.
“La mirada vertical, de abajo hacia arriba, trabaja con los conceptos de lo terrenal hacia lo ideal, en referencia a la Tierra y el Cielo de la rayuela. En la mirada de izquierda a derecha, muestra los diferentes momentos y universos de Cortázar. Y en el centro, una imagen grande, simple y concluyente o disparadora de las otras ilustraciones”.

Around the world of Cortazar in a few Julios: that's what “Journey around a certain Cronopio” is all about, the show by the illustrator and designer JUANE LEMOS.
“The exhibition is built on some of the most relevant events of Julio Cortazar. His features, looks, stories, loves and the ideas that marked his life ”. Composed of 33 original pieces, some of them made with the digital vector technique and others illustrated freehand, the exhibition proposes a journey that combines lines, textures, colors and fonts.
The organization of the images invites us to make three possible readings. One of them starts from the central image, a portrait of the mature Cortazar, surrounded by his literary work in typographic format. The second proposes a vertical route: starting from the bottom up and in the opposite direction. The last reading, horizontal, accompanies the oblong format of the montage, jumping from one image to the other, forward or backward.
“The vertical gaze, from the bottom up, works with the concepts of the earthly towards the ideal, in reference to the Earth and the Sky of the hopscotch. In the look from left to right, it shows the different moments and universes of Cortazar. And in the center, a large, simple and conclusive image or trigger of the other illustrations”.
