Cold Steel Espadas. Shot for a catalog cover. The props and lighting are designed to suggest the era of the Spanish Conquistadors. This was done using a long exposure technique. The candle was lit and exposed the longest and then blown out, then the light through the window grating was exposed and a flashlight was used to suggest the light thrown by the candle, then finally in a single flash, the blade lighting was exposed. All done using a 4X5 view camera, for high detail.
