AUGMENTED REALITY POSTER 2
Typographic poster designed based on the future issues that the world may possibly face in the year to come. I decided to go with the issue on racism here in my home country; Singapore.
On the surface itself, it may seem that racism does not exist here in Singapore, a multi racial country, yet we discriminate one another base on a person's race. Contradicting isn't it? I know that this poster will not be able to put racism to a stop, but what my aim is here, is to educate the future generation of ours to not discriminate one based on the racial stereotype in Singapore.
This poster is designed like the read and match worksheets done by young toddlers in school, so the audience have to match the race accordingly based on the racial stereotype. From there, they'll unknowingly get the message that they're one way or another racist or they'll know that it's actually a very big issue in Singapore.
because we're not born knowing what is racism, we're taught. I personally was born in a family where my mum was a racist, but I didn't follow her footsteps. What if one day our country is under attack and we're not helping one another because of their race.
It's sad that Singapore celebrates 'Racial Harmony Day', yet we're not that racial harmonious after all.
