One of the most recognizable and fun villains of all time has to be (in my opinion) Freddy Krueger, from  A Nightmare on Elm Street.

He's the perfect bad guy. He becomes more and more powerful as he induces fear on his victims, and he does so by giving them horrific and gory nightmares, just so he can become real, materialize and kill them in the real world.

I had to draw that. It's the kind of terror and fear-filled plot that goes very well with my own drawing style.
The lineart. Is quite simple.

Actually, is one of my cleanest drawings, because it does not have scribles or squiggly lines all over it. But it does feature fun shapes, spirals and the such to give it that kind fun nightmarish feel, like an illustration from Dr. Seuss or Tim Burton.

Then I added color. These are just the flat colors. I picked a lot of reds so it would have a bloody atmosphere. The teens feature some kind of blue, to imply that they're the good guys, but they also feature some reddish tones (like Freddy), because no one is absolutely innocent. Yeah, colors are fun.

Lights. I figured that a lot of light would come from that window, so it shows in the characters.

Then some final touches, like a vignette to give it a darker feel, some glowing eyes for Mr. Krueger (because glowing cat like eyes are cool) and a little less saturation, maybe to make it a little more scary.

It was a fun drawing. What do you think?
