Hellboy Funko Pop Box Design

Welcome, for This presentation we'll be taking a look into my product redesign or rather my design of the Hellboy Funko Pop Figures.
Original box

Here we have the basis and starting point, the original box had barely shown much of the Mike Mignola art style, As a Hellboy fan as well as a fan of the artist and his work I felt that was a shame so when I was given the oprotinity to redesign a package of my choice I went with Funko Pop's Hellboy figures.
Concepts and Inspirations

With my inspirations I looked to the Hellboy comics and Mike Mignola's art style and even took inspiration of one of my past project that were also Hellboy related. After that I decided my box would feature both Abe and Hellboy and began my rough concept design of the box. For the concept I had chosen a graveyard scene mainly becase that's what I had done in my previous Hellboy related project as well as it fits the tone of the comics very well

Diestrike

Here is the die strike of the whole thing together and what was used for printing the box

Front

With my concept I wanted the box to play out a scene in the style of art Mike Mignola, while still representing Funko. I thought to incorporate more of the art style I'd feature a tree to give the interactive feeling Of this scene playing out
Sides

For the sides I wanted side windows so the figures could be seen from the side as well as incorporating more of the artwork and scene, here we see the other side of the tree and we can also see more of this grave yard and a demon that seems to be about.
Top and bottom

For the top I wanted to incorporate a skylight so that way more light can come into the box when displayed, and as for the bottom I simply recreated and put in all the information Funko usually displays in their boxes
Back

Through out the scene of the box there was a cabin, here on the back we're in said cabin, here I wanted the Funko figure illustrations as well as a lot that's here to look like if Artist Mike Mignola did it himself to emulate his art style like for much of this project. We all still have the information Funko displays on its boxes.
3D mock up

Here is when I took my first steps into seeing what a completed version of the box would appear like. Using Origami I was able to see what a 3D model of the box looked like before printing and creating the box myself.

It was quite exciting to see everything come together.

Official box photos

Here are product shots of the product it's self with the actual figures as well to see what the finished product would appear like. I built the box together using an assortment of papers, a tape gun, cutting skills and plastic. The following are just simply more images of the product

Social media mock up

Finally to end this presentation is a mock up Instagram post of what this product would look like if Funko themselves posted about it on their social media
