The purpose of this project was to create a major retrospective book of my chosen author, George Orwell, which supports an international exhibition. All illustrations in the book are made up of expressive typography. I included six of the author’s stories, each with a different treatment. The letters from each title make up the letters ORWELL on the book cover. I bound the book myself using a side sewn bind and I created a hardback cover which I lined with linen to give the book a more valued appearance. The outer sleeve contains the front and back book cover illustrations and can also open out into a poster which showcases the international exhibition.
