Musaharati:
is a title given to a person who takes upon himself to wake up Muslims on the nights of Ramadan to eat the suhoor meal. He carries the drum with the aim of waking people before dawn prayer.
The call is usually accompanied by some hymns or religious songs. As time progressed ,society and technology developed, the profession began to extinct, and the Musaharati disappeared from most neighborhoods, having been famous and strongly practiced in most Arab countries.
