Self-directed insurance - online risk tool

I was briefed to wireframe an end-to-end online application process for desktop. These are notoriously laborious and usually result in high drop-off.

I upsold the project to become a mobile-first, app-like experience in the form of a directed series of questions to collect data. It features micro-interactions and animation to maintain visual interest and cue input.

The final result is a quote based on data collected and the user is given a quick solution based on an existing insurance product.

There is also a stand-alone needs analysis journey where the user can very quickly collate their existing cover and tally their debt, resulting in a graphical visualisation of their financial situation. They are then given the option to purchase cover to mitigate risk.

The user is constantly supported via live chat, able to save their application at any stage and there is a callback option. This is emphasised in the medical section (traditionally tele-underwritten). During key points in the journey the user is given information about difficult financial concepts so it serves an educational purpose too.
