Fragments of war-exhibition, Ieper Lakenhallen

This was our bachelor assignment for interior design. We were asked to create an exhibition for WO I at the Lakenhallen, Ieper, a castle at Lovie, Poperinge and a small installation for the outside to remember the fallen victims. I concentrated on our five senses and wanted to make a very narrow and uncomfortable feeling of the exhibition. The tour had to consist of very narrow and unexpected corners so you can understand the trapped feeing the soldiers had in the trenches. We also wanted to show the before, during and aftermath of the destruction. That's why we used a full screen print of green and trees. We had to be very carefully of not damaging the existing space.

For the installation outside we created the option of viewing the before and afther pictures of the battlefield. The installation itself was made of steal.
