PROBLEM
In recent years there has increasingly been a political and cultural closure towards migrants, from mexicans mistreated by Donald Trump, to the arab ethnicity and not only. Together stands as promoter of ethnicity and the value of multiculturalism through a poster campaign.
IDEA
One of the most iconical symbol of our times is Wi-Fi. It allows our devices to connect to a network allowing people break physical boundaries, and this is great.
But in the modern society we can think bigger regarding the relationship between man and technology, looking at our origins.
We wanted to use the iconicity of this symbol as a metaphor for such a powerful force that it gives the possibility to link together entire communities, even from different cultures.
All ethnic groups have the same origin, our diversity is also our strength and we are all connected by an invisible network, worldwide.
EXECUTION
The project concerns a series of multi.subject posters that promote multiculturalism: Together. Unifying Communities.
This message, typographically treated, highlights the union between people through a graphic solution that merges letters between them.
Portraits inserted inside the frame are representative of ethnic groups that today tend to be marginalized by western ones. We only used blue, first of all to get the color of the logotype Together. Moreover, with it we wanted to strengthen the iconicity of the Wi-Fi symbol thanks to the strong contrast witch the white color.
Through the Wi-Fi symbol, faces are illuminated highlighting the theme of the connection between cultures. The connection does not stop at the visual side of the poster, but is fully guaranteed through local networks installed near the posters.
